PCE Member Professional Code of Conduct

When individuals become PCE members they are required to agree to this Code of Conduct.

As a member of Professional Communications Exchange (PCE) I hereby promise:

  1. To treat clients, vendors and other PCE members with courtesy and professionalism.
  2. To communicate and perform my services with the highest degree of integrity, and to always act in the client's best interest.
  3. To improve my competence through continuing research and education.
  4. To follow through and complete work as promised, on time and within budget, including commitments made verbally. When subcontracting part of a project I will make sure work progresses as planned.
  5. To make certain that clients understand job parameters, and that I understand their expectations.
  6. To maintain in the strictest of confidence information or materials which are proprietary or considered confidential by the client or PCE.
  7. To refrain from knowingly soliciting work from clients of PCE or its members without express permission.
  8. To refrain from engaging two clients when a conflict of interests exists, unless both parties are aware and agree to the arrangement in writing.
  9. To refrain from charging a referral fee for work referred to other PCE members.

I understand that adherence to these guidelines is critical to the ongoing success of Professional Communications Exchange. My signature indicates that I agree to abide by this code of conduct and that I am aware that a significant violation of it, or the performance of any other action that may damage the reputation or viability of PCE, may result in my expulsion from the group and forfeiture of all benefits of group membership, as well as any dues paid.
