	Jan Works is the glue that has kept our diverse group of independent marketing communications professionals together for the past few years. Her quiet leadership and unassuming behind-the-scenes management skills have kept our meetings relevant, our membership growing and our finances solvent. Jan has cheerfully shouldered multiple responsibilities, including chairing every meeting, writing and distributing our newsletter, handling all meeting arrangements every other month for several years running, and project managing our media outreach and branding activities. Without her professionalism, enthusiasm and willingness to go the extra mile, PCE would not be the welcoming, fun and relevant organization that it is.
Jan will be among the honorees at NAWBO-OC's Remarkable Women Awards luncheon on October 15, 2004 at the Hyatt Regency Hotel in Irvine. PCE is one of over 20 participating organizations. This has become a signature event in the Orange County business community, and draws much media attention.
