An Insiders' Look at White House Communications

Tuesday, February 12 • 11:30 am to 1:00 pm

Co-sponsored by IABC Orange County and PCE

Best practices and lessons learned by a former
White House Assistant Press Secretary

During his three and a half years as Assistant Press Secretary for the White House, Reed Dickens handled every type of commuication issue from strategic planning to message development to crisis management.

Now, on February 12, Dickens will share best practices and lessons learned from his West Wing experience -- and give us a glimpse into what it is like to manage communications at this level. Serving as a liaison between the White House and the national press corps, he traveled to over 20 countries and 40 states. He worked with the national and international media during and after the September 11 attacks, the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, and throughout policy debates, legislative battles and midterm elections.

Today, he applies his communications skills as the president and founder of Outside Eyes, a communications strategy firm based in Newport Beach. The firm serves some of America’s largest companies, as well as Fortune 500 CEOs, celebrity athletes and entertainers.

You'll leave with incredible insight into White House communications, and ideas you can implement in your own work.

This event is co-sponsored by PCE and IABC, so it will be a terrific networking opportunity. We look forward to seeing you!
